July 31st 2016
VENUE : Hyatt Regency, Anna Salai,Tenampet, Chennai-17 View Map
On behalf of Dr Koppikar’s Foundation for Homoeopathy (KFH) and Global Homeopathy Foundation (GHF) we are glad to bring before you a combined effort and venture between two nationally recognized NGO’s in hosting the ‘National Homeopathy Conference – DECODING HOMEOPATHY’ a first ever such exclusive event in the history of Tamil Nadu and the third such event in the country, with research scientists of international renown from some of India’s best known research institutions as speakers. Here the process of decoding the mechanism of action of homeopathic medicines and the evidence of scientific basis for homeopathy will be revealed through the work of scientists who have spent decades in fundamental research and whose research papers have been peer reviewed and recognized internationally.
WHY THE NEED FOR SUCH AN EVENT..?
Homeopathy, as per WHO has emerged as the most rapidly growing and the second most popular healthcare option after conventional medicine, across all continents. Vast data of clinical research and cures of so said chronic, incurable or undiagnosed conditions through homeopathy exists in the realm of homeopathic world. For further development and larger acceptance of homeopathy, a greater need remained to showcase the scientific community, medical professionals and the public at large of the significant advances achieved in the field of pure science and fundamental research in homeopathy, an area that homeopathy has most often been questioned about. Understanding the necessity and importance of this ground reality KFH & GHF have taken it upon themselves to organize this exclusive research event.
NHC in turn will spread awareness to all sections of the society, the media and the policy makers about the need for largely incorporating homeopathy into public and private healthcare apart from establishing many more institutions favoring homeopathy academics and research at state and national levels. Furthermore for younger professionals NHC will open up the windows to newer horizons, enlightening their knowledge about recent homeopathic advances and for senior practitioners help update their knowledge base. Scientists from varied fields will get the opportunity to add new ideas and insights about leveraging scientific research to the upliftment and betterment of healthcare facilities through homeopathy.
AN APPEAL FOR ALL SEGMENTS TO PARTICIPATE
We request and invite the researchers from various areas related to healthcare, the heads of such institutions, the media, medical professionals, students of all streams, believers and lovers of homeopathy and even the non-believers and critics of homeopathy to come for once and witness our event.
Dr Koppikar’s Foundation for Homoeopathy
Dr Koppikar's Foundation for Homoeopathy - KFH, is an NGO dedicated to the service of mankind with the mission of 'Taking Homoeopathy to Every Home', a dream envisioned by Late Dr.S.P.Koppikar, a doyen in the field of homeopathy internationally. Above five years into existence, KFH routinely organizes state and national level conferences, CMEs and workshops for benefit of doctors and students; initiates awareness programs, organizes Homeopathy medical camps and prophylactic distribution during epidemics for the public and runs a chain of charity clinics in Chennai of which one is a research unit exclusively dedicated to clinical study of efficacy of homeopathic remedies in cases of renal calculi. It has also released first-aid books in English and Tamil and distributed first-aid homeopathic medical kits.
Global Homeopathy Foundation
Global Homeopathy Foundation (GHF) supported by patrons from across the globe, is an NGO conceptualised and established by a group of dedicated, apolitical, like minded Indian homeopathic professionals with a noble objective of creating a global institution that empowers homeopaths and delivers the benefits of Homeopathy for a safe, effective, affordable health care for the overall wellness of man-kind. GHF presents a platform to showcase Homeopathy to the world in its most efficient, scientific form through collaborative activities involving homeopathic and conventional professionals, scientists etc., with the support of nobility from all walks of life like the lovers and believers of homeopathy, philanthropists, celebrities, politicians, industrialists and global organisations like the UN, WHO, UNESCO and others. A one of its kind in the world with, 26 research scientists from 11 countries, the hallmark initiator of GHF was ‘The World Homeopathic Summit’ held in April 2015 at Mumbai.
Prof. Dr AR Khuda Bukhsh. PhD
He is an internationally acclaimed Molecular Biologist who has over 320 papers including 110 homeopathy research papers to his credit in the areas of Nano-science, Cellular toxicity, Epigenetic mechanism, Anti-cancer effects, and more. He will highlight especially the proposed mechanisms of action of homeopathic medicines, which will help us look at the future of the science. His presentation will be on “Nano-encapsulation of and nano-precipitation by homeopathic drugs: understanding homeopathy in a new perspective”. On-Physico-Chemical Analysis, the nano-forms always showed faster cellular entry and strikingly enhanced biological efficacy at a much-reduced dose. The nano-capsules had ability to cross the blood brain barrier; ability to interact with DNA and make conformational changes. Welcome to a paradigm shift in the understanding and application of the science of homeopathy.
Prof. Dr RamdasanKuttan, PhD
After working in various universities in the United States, Dr Kuttan joined Amala Cancer Research Centre in 1984; having published 280 scientific papers. His talk at the conference would be “Scientific Evidence For The Use Of Homoeopathic Drugs In Cancer.” He will be presenting on the scientific validation of homoeopathic drugs using tissue culture studies, animal experimentation andmolecular biology techniques and micro array analysis.
He will be presenting data on the use of homoeopathic drugs on cancer treatment and prevention. His research has shown therapeutic as well as prophylactic effects of potentised medicines in laboratory as well as animal models. His talk will not only boost the confidence of the practitioners of homeopathy but will also encourage more researchers to pursue research in homeopathy.
Prof. Dr. PapiyaNandy, PhD
She is one of the few Physicists in the world researching homeopathy; and retired as Director of Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search. She is now focusing on the study of basic sciences being homeopathy. Using the potency dependent effect of homeopathic medicine on physical properties of matter, she is developing the novel idea of Techno homeopathy. She has published around 12 research papers on homoeopathy. Her research on three metals (Aurum, Cuprum, Ferrum Metallicum) is unique in terms of fundamental research; and will give a novel perspective to the homeopaths. Her presentation will be on the topic “Homeopathy in the light of basic sciences”.
Dr. R.K. Manchanda, MD (Hom), MBA
He is Director General of CCRH (Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, AYUSH), having 35 years of professional experience as clinician, dermatologist, researcher, administrator and teacher of homeopathy. He has co-authored two books. He has several publications including clinical research publications on Subclinical hypothyrodism, Tubercular Lymphadenitis, Multiple Drug Resistant tuberculosis, etc. His contemporary vision for research has taken him places and made him an internationally renowned speaker.
